My son loves loud...smelly....manly things, so I take him to the Monster Truck Races every year. This is a shot from this year's event. Funny story, I was told I couldn't use my S7000 (even though it clearly stated that you could use cameras...just not video cameras). After arguing with the security guard I realized he thought this was a "professional" camera. He said "You can't take no pictures with that lense on it." So...I took the lense off. Seeing that the S7000 is not a true SLR, the lack of "lense" didn't make much difference at all.

If you like loud, obnoxious destruction it's a must see. The power is a rush.

The fumes always gives me a migrane though. The only reason we go is because the boy likes it.

Nice shots. Our sons seem very much alike. My boy is 10 and also loves these trucks. We went to a show a couple of months ago. This one is his favorite shot from the show.

Awesome! I've got a shot of Grave Digger flipped over on its side. I usually get him tickets every year for Christmas. This last Christmas as soon as he came down stairs he asked which box had his tickets in it. I'm just glad he's not into Nascar(yet). Monster truck tickets are quite cheap compared to Nascar tickets.
